Sharing is Caring

I have a love/hate relationship with the creation of meals. I mean, I love to eat. I love to provide my husband with a good dinner. I love being domestic. I even love wearing an apron.

But I hate choosing what to cook everyday. I hate grocery shopping. I hate dishes. I hate dishes. I hate dishes.

And I have a sneaking suspicion that some of you out there feel the same way. Anyone?

So, in an effort to help us all out, I am going to be focusing The Emerald Gardens a little more on food. Nutritious, easy, cheap food. And I would love your help!

If you have a recipe that would make a someone's life a little easier, I will 'feature' you on EG! (And more importantly, try your recipe out for dinner tonight!) I really want to create a 'sharing community' with the people I know. Its selfish - I want your help! But hopefully, you will get some useful ideas too. Even if you just have some shopping tips, pass them along!

To contribute, leave a comment with your email address and I will get in touch with you. I would love to hear from lots of you!

And to start off the food ideas, here is a glazed carrot recipe from Simply Recipes blog. Looks delish!

  1. Amy, I feel the same way! Something that I have done to make things easier is to make a 10 day meal plan. (Monday through the next Wednesday.) I redo them every weekend, but it gives me a little lee-way in case I don't have time that weekend - and a head start to help get me motivated when I am re-doing them.

Then I started a blog - just for my recipes, especially because so many of my ideas come from online. If you want to check out some of our recipes, feel free. www.thepeadenkitchen.blogspot.com

  2. Love the blog Shantel! And love the meal plan idea. I have tried a month plan before, but that was wayyy too intense. Ten days seems much more manageable. I'm trying it out!
